Liechtenstein to Widen Its Tax Treaty Network Next Year

The Liechtenstein government intends to negotiate double taxation agreements with the country’s economically and strategically important partners in 2013.

Liechtenstein’s 2013 negotiation program was drawn up in collaboration with the associations and government agencies of the relevant countries. Liechtenstein has already been able to conclude double taxation agreements with such key trading partners as Germany and the UK. Further negotiations with other countries are pertaining to both double taxation agreements and tax information exchange agreements.

Liechtenstein’s tax strategy aimed at maintaining and strengthening the competitiveness of Liechtenstein as a jurisdiction is based on international tax cooperation, an innovative and competitive national tax legislation and on an outstanding quality of service in business and administration.
